In a dystopian future, a new advanced global power enforces the democracy of machines, condemning humanity to pure logic; cold, ruthless!
Under the Osiris Project, families are torn apart in the name of planetary preservation, forcing John, a man trapped within the system, to decide whether to accept the future assigned to him or fight for his freedom.

Production's note
The production of Osiris began in the summer of 2023. What started as a simple idea a few months earlier gradually evolved into an increasingly compelling story, giving us the opportunity to put into practice the know-how we had developed over the years.
This short film presented many challenges, but thanks to the dedication of the crew and all our collaborators, we built an experience that we are excited to share.
A fundamental aspect of the creative development was the co-directing process, which played a key role both in pre-production and on set. The story took shape through a continuous creative exchange, evolving thanks to the contribution of both visions. During filming, collaboration was the driving force behind our work: a constant flow of ideas and solutions that made every stage of production even more dynamic and engaging.
The work on locations was also crucial in shaping the film’s visual identity. From building a fully constructed set from scratch to enhancing the extraordinary landscapes of Ticino for outdoor scenes, every environment was carefully selected and designed to amplify the story’s atmosphere.

Daniel Macher

Producer, director, composer
Born in Zurich and raised in Locarno, he first nurtured a passion for composing film scores—a spark ignited in 1995 when, while listening to James Horner’s soundtrack for Casper in the cinema, he told himself with unusual certainty: This is what I want to do in life!
The desire to convey emotions through music grew stronger, but the limited technology of the time and financial constraints prevented him from developing as an artist. To overcome this, he began producing electronic music and performing as a DJ, with the goal of saving enough to invest in professional composition equipment. Along this journey, his passion for cinema also flourished, deepening his appreciation for the powerful fusion of sound and image as a means of storytelling.
After completing middle school, he pursued a five-year artistic education at the Michelangelo Art High School in Como, Italy. Meanwhile, his music career gained traction, providing both creative fulfillment and financial stability. He started producing for Gas Europe Records—then the second most important label in Europe—leading to airplay on major radio stations like Radio One (UK) and M20 (IT), as well as regular performances at large-scale events, particularly in England.
Upon finishing his studies and after years of saving, he was finally able to open his own recording studio and an audio-visual service company, allowing him to collaborate with top-tier artists from across Europe. Yet, his love for cinema never faded. Though initially out of reach, he began directing music videos for the artists he worked with—some of which were broadcast on MTV. Their success led him to continue as a filmmaker, working with brands like Red Bull, Collistar, Fanghi d’Alga Guam, and Darwin Airline. A few years later, he took on roles as Director of Photography and Composer at Ledfilms Production in Lugano.
Now, with the rise of accessible technology, independent filmmaking and professional film scoring were finally within his grasp. The dream of that child in the cinema, once distant, had become a reality—a reality that today burns brighter than ever.
Now, he is a Composer and Filmmaker, still driven by the same passion to move people through emotion, just as he was 30 years ago.

Jean-Pierre Schoch is a Swiss filmmaker, born and raised in South America by an Italian father and a Latin mother, a background that has given him a diverse and open-minded perspective. At 16, his family moved to Switzerland, bringing a cultural shift and the beginning of his academic journey, first in Switzerland, then in Italy. Since childhood, he has been fascinated by cinema and the intrinsic power of storytelling within the frame: a two-dimensional space capable of evoking true, deep emotions through a combination of visuals inputs and audio nuances.
His background spans various fields of visual communication, including product design, branding, UI/UX, photography, and video production. As an independent filmmaker, he works as a producer, director, editor, and colorist. Over the years, his work as a photographer and production designer has received recognition in various circles. His photographs have been exhibited in art galleries in New York, Berlin, and Milan, and he has participated in international design competitions, winning awards for innovative concepts.
Regardless of the medium, he sees creativity as problem-solving—finding the best solution within a given context while balancing time, budget, and constraints. He believes ideas transcend labels, and the key to any project lies in a sharp vision, adaptability, and collaboration.
